Let’s face it, you don’t need a giant fixed blade for hunting. Something small and easily manipulated is what you’re looking for. If it’s small and easily manipulated, and pretty? Well, that’s just cake. The Uncle Henry Stag Skinner has perfectly decent steel, stag horn handles, and a quality leather sheath. We were impressed with it, especially considering the reasonable price point of $65.
This knife is a full tang knife with a 2.5” satin finished D2 drop point blade. It has a blade thickness of about 0.12” and it’s pretty danged sharp, straight out of the box.
It has stag horn handles secured with brass rivets. You have a handle length of about 3.75” which is a good-sized grip. You’ll like get an extra couple of inches if you add a lanyard because it does have a generous lanyard hole. There’s also a brass guard to help protect your digits. It comes with a surprisingly nice leather sheath that has a great feel to it.
