WE knives are unbelievably high quality. Their materials are premium, and their craftsmanship can go toe-to-toe with some of the highest quality knives in the world. Personally, I love WE knives because they show the world that imported doesn’t mean low quality – the WE 608 proves it.
The 608 has a serious, 4” long and 1 ¼” wide, CPM-S35VN blade. It’s set up in a versatile drop point design that’s capable of excelling at any EDC tasks. Surprisingly, the 608 is very lightweight for its size. The whole 9” of pocketknife weighs just over 5oz. Frankly, I’m impressed every time I hold it.
The smooth opening is also a pleasant surprise on the 608. It has a jimmped flipper that sets the blade into motion. It almost feels like an assisted-opening knife, because the ceramic ball bearing system is so smooth, and it produces a satisfying “click” when the blade locks into the frame lock. As a whole, the operation is quality and the craftsmanship really displays itself beautifully.
The handles are unique when compared to other high quality knives. The black 6AL-4V titanium handle has a very ergonomic shape. It’s designed with comfortable finger grooves that lead to a finger guard provided by the flipper in the open position. The black is offset tastefully by a blue stripe and bronzed hardware. Even though the hardware is proprietary to WE, they include the tool to disassemble and customize your knife.
