Gerber has been making multi-tools and pliers for quite some time, and not just mediocre ones either. Like your trusted Leatherman tool, you know you’re getting a quality tool when you buy a Gerber. The Gerber Crucial is clearly of the same bloodlines as previous models, but with a twist. This thing not only looks great, it carries more like a pocketknife than multi-plier.
At only 3.6″ closed, the Crucial is just slightly larger (1/10th of a inch actually) than a standard medium stockman pocketknife. It’s a great looking multi-plier, and because it weighs in at only 5 ounces, you can throw it in your pocket like a pocketknife and forget it until you need it.
The tools on the Crucial are very much like the other multi-pliers from Gerber and include:
- Thumb-studded Liner Locking, Partially Serrated Blade
- Flat Head and Phillips Screwdriver Heads
- Pliers with V-Cut Wire Cutter
