We’re going to confess a secret. We not only know a lot of people who can’t, or don’t want to sharpen their own knives, but some of us at Knife Newsroom don’t sharpen our own knives. We’re perfectly happy to make our friends or family members do it. Worst case, some of us find a local sharpener and pay them a minimal amount of money to sharpen our knives. With the Outdoor Edge Onyx, we don’t have to rely on the kindness of others. Once the blade starts to dull, just throw that blade away and put in a new one. It’s like a utility knife, only it’s a pocket knife, and at less than $20 – it’s not expensive.
Featuring a 3.5” satin finish 420 J2 stainless-steel blade, the outdoor edge comes out of the box super sharp. Once the blade dulls, you push the button on the side and take the blade out. Then it’s a simple matter of sliding in a new blade. It’s incredibly easy. Additionally, this knife includes your first three replacement blades.
The Outdoor Edge Onyx is a one-handed opener with dual thumb studs. A sturdy lock back secures the blade in an open position once deployed. The slip-resistant Grivory handles are comfortable in the hand, and it also has a replaceable, tip-up Grivory pocket clip.
