Kershaw FringeThe Kershaw Fringe is a good looking, reasonably priced assisted opening knife. The thin frame keeps this knife at a mere 3.5 ounces. Combined with a closed length of 4.1”, this mid-sized folder is lightweight and easy to carry.

The 3” 8Cr13MoV drop point has a titanium carbo-nitride coating. Kershaw tells us the blade has been “precision heat-treated by Kershaw to bring out its high-performance qualities.” It is a SpeedSafe assisted opener that deploys with either the flipper or the ambidextrous thumb studs. Once open, the blade securely locks in place with a sturdy frame lock.

The titanium carbo-nitride coated stainless-steel frame has an open construction with steel tube spacers. This makes keeping your knife clean a breeze. The carbon fiber inserts and decorative touches on the handle give the Fringe a modern look. Finally, the Kershaw Fringe has a tip-down, deep carry pocketclip and lanyard hole.
