Rough Rider took all the things we loved about the Highland Bowie and used them in a folding lockback hunter. The Rough Rider Highland Lockback has stacked micarta and G10 handles with brass accents and brushed stainless steel bolsters. It’s beautiful, and you can pick it up for less than $15.

Let’s start with what we think is the best feature of this knife. The handle design is simply awesome. It features black micarta with a red G10 liner. Brass and red divider accents next to the brushed stainless-steel bolsters complete the design and tie the whole thing into one beautiful, cohesive piece.

The 3.25” satin finish stainless steel clip point has a swedge on the spine and a straight nail pull. This knife opens smoothly and easily and locks into place with a sturdy, but easy to use lock on the back of the knife.

Here’s what did it for us. When you hold it in your hand, it feels like an incredibly high-end knife.  It’s smooth and sleek. It’s hefty but balanced. Simply put. We love it.

Finally, this knife comes with a nylon and leather sheath. It has EZ Snaps for easy opening, and belt loop attachments for both horizontal and vertical carry.
