Zero Tolerance found impressive success with their original Rexford design 0801 knives. They have produced a few different variants in the past few years that have found a place in many high-quality knife collections. The new 0801TI continues that series legacy and is one knife that anyone should consider for their EDC or collection.

The main difference that sets this 0801 from other knives in the series are the 3D machined titanium handles. In the past year, 3D machining has gotten more and more popular with high-quality knife companies. We have seen Zero Tolerance use this advanced technique before on the gorgeous 0920. The titanium handle on this 0801 has a bead blasted finish with a machined grip pattern around the edge. The center of the grip features machined holes that show off the craftsmanship of 3D machining and reduce overall weight.

The 0801TI features an attractive stonewash coated spear point blade. It’s designed with a resilient S35VN steel to provide a sharp, long lasting edge, that is resistant to edge chipping and excessive wear from tough use.

The opening of the 0801TI is smooth as silk. The KVT ball bearing system in conjunction with the flipper makes opening this knife almost effortless. It really is a pleasure to flip and operate this knife, I’ve found myself playing with the action for nearly an hour now and have no complaints.

Closing the 0801TI is also a breeze due to the sturdy frame lock mechanism. It’s machined seamlessly into the handle while maintaining impressive comfort on the handle. Todd Rexford even designed a finger tab on the frame lock itself to increase grip and leverage when you close the knife.
