Earlier this year, Zero Tolerance released the 0462 which is a larger version of the 0460. This bigger knife provides a more comfortable carry to a wider variety of grips, and provides more versatility for a variety of EDC tasks. All the while they managed to keep it an easy, lightweight carry. The Zero Tolerance 0462BLK is a sprint run of the 0462. This Sinkevich designed ZT0462BLK is a sexy, blacked-out version of the 0462, with black carbon fiber scales and a black DLC coated blade. If you love the feel and action of the 0462, you won’t want to miss out on the 0462BLK.
First, the 0462BLK has an upswept, almost Persian style 3.75” S35VN blade with a super tough black DLC coating. This increases the corrosion resistance and toughness of the blade. More than that, it just looks fantastic. Additionally, the longer blade provides a long slicing edge. The flipper opening mechanism is via KVT ball bearings for a smooth, lightning fast flipper opening. Once deployed, this knife features a frame lock with a hardened steel lock bar insert for a secure lockup, despite hard use.
The black carbon fiber front scales are mounted on a titanium frame. The handles are machined and contoured for an extremely comfortable grip. Additionally, there is jimping on the top of the scales, and they have been machined on the bottom of the grip which significantly increases slip resistance. The black stonewashed titanium back is smooth, understated, and sexy. Finally, the tip-up pocket clip is reversible for ambidextrous carry.
Overall, the 0462BLK is a lightweight, easy carry with an excellent fit and finish. This sleek black 0462 demonstrates why you can’t go wrong with Zero Tolerance.
