Benchmade just announced the release of the first folding knife in the SOCP family of knives. Designed by Greg Thompson, the Benchmade 390 features an incredibly long, 4.47” black coated D2 spear point blade with either a plain edge or a serrated edge. Benchmade tells us, “This large, yet thin, knife incorporates many features making it ideal for on or off-duty carry. The rapid deployment ring and tip-down carry enhance the speed at which this knife can be deployed from concealment and the smooth handle dimples allow for fast transition in your hand.”
Once the blade is deployed via the thumb disc on the spine of the blade, it is held securely opened via the liner lock mechanism. Additionally, the 390 has an incredibly interesting looking reversible, deep carry pocket clip. Finally, the Benchmade 390 has a glass breaker tip and lanyard hole.
