If you’ve ever owned an ESEE knife, you know ESEE is an awesome company with an amazing warranty and a killer line of products. The ESEE Expat Medellin is the first production run of a new addition to the ESEE line of knives. It’s a classic thumb-stud folder that’s much like the Avispa and the Zancudo with a few awesome changes.
For the Expat Medellin, they’ve made the handle just a bit bigger, which makes the overall length a bit longer. If you’ve got larger hands, this might be the best news ever! They’ve also replaced the liner lock with an incredibly sturdy frame lock.
The Medellin has a 3.5” AUS-8 drop point blade with either a satin finish or black coating. There’s a fair amount of jimping on the spine next to the ambidextrous thumb-studs. The pocket-clip is reversible, so you can carry it tip up or down as it suits you.
