If you love SOG Knives, you’ll love the SOG Sideswipe. It’s the same rugged build you’ve come to expect from SOG. It’s lightweight, has a fast deployment, is highly slip resistant, and features thumb stud actuated SOG Assisted Technology opening. Best of all, it’s available for a reasonable price in two different sizes: the Sideswipe Lockback and the Sideswipe Mini Lockback.
First, the only difference between the SOG Sideswipe and the SOG Sideswipe Mini is the size. The full sized version features a 3.439” clip point and the mini has a 3” clip point. The closed length on the full-sized is 4.38”, on the mini the closed length is 3.875”. Everything else is the same on these knives.
Each knife has a plain edged 7Cr15 bead blast finish clip point. There’s jimping on the spine of the knife, and a some really nice grinds on the blade itself. Once the blade is deployed, it is held in place a lock back. The handles are nearly slip proof and are contoured anodized aluminum with glass reinforced nylon inserts. There’s jimping throughout. Finally, the deep carry pocket clip is reversible.
