Last year, Smoky Mountain Knife Works released four designs in two different models of the Victorinox Smokey Bear Swiss Army Knife series. These knives are the only National Park licensed Swiss Army Knives. They tell us it was such an incredibly popular campaign last year that this year they’ve released two more designs.
The first design we’re going to talk about is the Smokey Bear “On the Job” design because it’s our favorite. It has a white composition handle with a line art Smokey Bear in black. The front handle has the red Victorinox emblem, the National Parks logo, and Smokey Bear hanging a sign saying “Prevent Wildfires.” On the back handle, Smokey Bear is at work urging people to prevent forest fires, putting out forest fires, and hanging signs. We love the look of this design. It’s simple and gorgeous. This design is available on both the Tinker and the Classic SD.
The second design is the Smokey Bear “Paw Print.” It has a black composition handle with a full color print of Smokey Bear holding a shovel while a wildfire rages behind him in the center of the knife. At the top is the National Parks logo, underneath that is the Victorinox shield, and at the bottom of the knife is a paw print with Smokey written underneath. On the back handle is red and white text, “Only you can prevent wildfires.” This design is also available on both the Tinker and the Classic SD.
