Oregon City, Oregon – Benchmade has released a new Gold Class, the 490-181 Arcane. This Chad Nichols collaboration with Benchmade is unique and loaded with features. There’s so much to unpack with this knife, it’s hard to know where to start.
First and most importantly, as we all know the Arcane is the first flipper for Benchmade. Their Gold Class has the AXIS assist flipper with the integrated safety you know and love. The 3.25” drop point has been upgraded with Chad Nichols scarab pattern Damascus and has an HRC of 58-60.
The handle is smooth milled titanium with a chromium nitride coating. It features Chad Nichols Scarab pattern Moku-Ti inlays on both the front and the back scales. The backspacers are a coordinating Pharoh pattern. Finally, the custom tip-up pocketclip is a matching Moku-Ti.
