It’s no secret that we love Helle knives. They’re the perfect example of how a utilitarian tool can be gorgeous. The Helle Fiskekniv is no exception. It would be a gorgeous addition to your kitchen as well as your tackle box.
Originally released in 1999, the thin and narrow 6-1/8” mirror polished Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade has just a bit of bend to it. This lets you slice around the bones without losing much flesh. The mirror polish is not only flawlessly gorgeous, it ensures a smooth slice.
The curly birch handle is polished for a beautifully warm, mellow finish. The handles have been contoured for a comfortable grip. The butt end swells to form a pommel to help maintain a firm grip.
Finally, the Helle Fiskekniv comes with a leather sheath with a belt loop attachment. The exceptional quality of the leather is matched only by the utility of the Scandinavian design. The knife rides low in the sheath which keeps the blade protected from the elements when not in use.
