The Benchmade Mini Vallation is a little smaller and a little lighter making it a bit easier on the pocket. This USA-made folder is still fully ambidextrous with the same a great build fans have always loved. It’s available with either a satin finished plain edge, or a black oxide coated partially serrated edge.
The 3.2” S30V drop point has a mohawk spine and a blade thickness of 0.114”. The profile on this is great because it allows a secure grip in a variety of positions. It also allows this smaller blade to perform far outside its size class. It opens with the AXIS Assit mechanism which allows an easy one-handed opening and a fully ambidextrous closing.
Much like the full-sized version, the Mini Vallation has black milled billet aluminum handles. The handles are a bit trimmer at just over 1/2″. They also house a carbide-tipped glass breaker and an ambidextrous, tip-up pocket clip. The closed length on this knife is just under 4-1/2” and it weighs just over 4.5 ounces. All that means this knife is a much easier daily carry than the previous version.
