The SOG Field Pup II was discontinued back in 2012 and this is the last of their new/old stock. While supplies last, you can pick one up for about $20. Whether you’re a camper, survivalist, or someone looking for a tough, affordable fixed blade knife, the Field Pup II is seriously worth checking out.
It features a 4.625” black titanium nitride coated 7Cr17MoV clip point with some really nice jimping on the thumb ramp and a full tang. The Kraton rubber handles have a wide grip without being overbearing. This material is durable and incredibly weather-resistant. For great control, it has aggressive texturing on the sides and finger grooves that fit great for standard and reverse grips. It also has a lanyard hole for attachments. For carry, it comes with a nice leather sheath with a snap closure.
