The CJRB Crag is a budget cleaver from the minds over at Artisan Cutlery. It has a big wide blade and a nicely contoured handle that is worth checking out for anyone looking for that next affordable daily-carry knife.
This pocket-cleaver has a D2 tool steel blade that’s a lot of fun to flip open with the blade flipper and ceramic ball bearings in the pivot. This folder locks with a linerlock. It can cut fruits and boxes as well as it will rope and other tougher materials.
You have the choice between G-10 and carbon fiber when it comes to the Crag. The milled G-10 is plenty grippy for most tasks and the carbon fiber is nice and sleek while giving a modern look. When the blade is opened, the Crag feels great in hand. The contoured handle scales and the flipper all give a comfortable feel when using it.
It has an orange pivot collar for a bit of color. Other extras include a lanyard hole and an ambidextrous tip-up pocket clip so you can take the Crag with you anywhere.
