If you’re in the market for a budget friendly and reliable workhorse, look no further than the Boker Cinch Roper II. It has an 80s Western flair, a solid lock up, and you can get it for about $40.
The Boker Cinch Roper II features a partially serrated 3” AUS-8 drop point blade with a satin finish. It has an oval thumb hole with moderate to serious jimping machined in. The action on this knife is less like a fidget spinner and more like the smooth, controlled opening you’d want in a work knife.
The stainless-steel handles are satin finished and engraved with a Western motif, giving it a look that’s almost straight out of Urban Cowboy. Lock up is solid on this knife, with no discernable wibble or wobble in any direction. It can be a one-handed closer but, just like many Lockbacks, you’re likely going to use two as it’s just easier.
It has a reversible, right carry pocket clip and lanyard hole. It’s 4.15” closed and weighs about 4 ounces.
