We’ve heard the rumblings and carping on the internet about the smaller, more pocket friendly knives from Zero Tolerance. Well, grumble no more. The ZT 0308 is not small, and it doesn’t practically disappear in your pocket. It’s a big, beefy workhorse of a knife with all the action and comfort you could ever want from a ZT. Not only does it harken back to previous ZT builds, they even added a couple of touches to please the aftermarket knife tinkerers out there.
The 0308 features a stonewash finished 3.75” CPM 20CV drop point blade with a harpoon style spine and a blade thickness of 0.156”. This manual flipper has a KVT ball bearing pivot system for the fast, smooth action you know and love. It also has a solid pivot with a custom nut that ZT tells us, “enables in-the-field adjustment with .5-inch wrench.” This means you can quickly and easily tighten or loosen the pivot without minimal fuss.
The front handle is coyote tan G-10 with just enough texture to provide outstanding slip resistance. The back handle is machined titanium with a bead blast finish. All that mean’s it’s super easy on the pocket while still remaining fairly slip resistant. Not only that, this knife feels just solid in hand and is big enough to be comfortable for those with larger hands.
The 0308 is a framelock with a hardened steel lockbar insert. It has a lanyard hole for attachments, and an ambidextrous, tip-up pocket clip that ZT tells us is, “[c]ompatible with many after-market pocketclips.” It’s 5.2” closed and weighs in at just under 7 ounces.
