We took an in-depth look at the Hogue Deka back in January. It’s a seriously outstanding knife with a smooth, fast action and a rock-solid build. Smoky Mountain Knife Works worked with Hogue to give this fabulous knife a bit of a patriotic flair. The Red, White, and Blue Hogue Deka is an SMKW Exclusive and it looks simply awesome.
It features a 3.25” CPM 20CV clip point blade with a tumbled finish. The 0.094” blade is cryogenically heat treated to a 59-61 HRC. It has a flat grind and is hand honed to razor sharpness. The action on this knife is fantastic. It quickly snaps open and closed with authority giving this knife a high fidget factor.
The red, white, and blue G-10 handles are CNC-machined in a crosshatch texture and provide a comfortable, slip resistant grip. Lock up is rock solid with their ABLE Lock. This knife has an ambidextrous tip-up pocket clip and lanyard hole. Weighing a mere 2.3 ounces, it practically disappears in your pocket with a 4.25” closed length.
