SMKW Exclusive Burlap Pena X Series Front Flipper TrapperSmoky Mountain Knife Works drops the SMKW Exclusive Burlap Pena X Series Front Flipper Trapper at noon (EST) on Thursday, December 10th.  Designed by Enrique Pena and built by Reate, the Pena’s X Series knives are amongst the fastest selling knives on the market. Pena has made an art form out of taking traditional slipjoints and re-imagining them as modern folders. This pattern is no exception. If you want one of these beautiful modern framelocks, don’t wait. There are only 100 of them up for grabs.

SMKW Exclusive Burlap Pena X Series Front Flipper TrapperThis front-flipping framelock has a 2.75” Bohler M390 clip point blade with a blade thickness of 0.12”. There’s jimping along both the spine and the flipper tab for easy indexing as well as slip resistance. The ceramic ball bearing detent and pivot provide outstanding and reliable action.

The fit and finish on the Flipper Trapper is top notch. The brown burlap Micarta handles are screwed to the titanium frame and capped with titanium bolsters. It has rock-solid lock up with a steel-reinforced titanium lock bar with overtravel protection. It also has a milled titanium, tip-up pocket clip. With a 3.75” closed length, and weighing a mere 2.24 ounces, this knife is an easy ride that practically disappears in your pocket.
