Have you seen the new Heretic Manticore-E Blue & Carbon Fiber models? Talk about great looking out-the-front (OTF) automatic knives, these things are sleek, sexy, and simply fantastic. Let’s check ‘em out.
This version of the Manticore-E has a blue anodized front hand and a carbon fiber black handle which we think looks just fantastic. Additionally, the tip-down pocket clip and the thumb slide are both flame anodized. That means there’s two different anodization methods going on with the same knife and we think the result is simply stunning. As usual, this knife has a lanyard hole for accessories and a ball bearing glass breaker. It’s a pocket friendly carry with handle thickness of 0.47”, a closed length of 4.75”, and it weighs only 3.3 ounces.
It’s available with three different blade profiles: A recurved drop point blade, a dual edged dagger, and a tanto tip. All variations of this model have a 3.19” black DLC finished blade with a blade thickness of 0.125”. The action on this knife is outstanding. The trigger is frustration free, but still tight enough to keep it from misfiring. As always, Heretic Knives are not only built and assembled in the USA, the fit and finish is impeccable.
