Browning PatriotIf you’re looking for budget friendly finds under $35 with a great look and a nice feel in hand, you want to check out these three Browning Patriot knives. There’s a big ‘un, a little ‘un, and a medium-sized, um, ‘un? (The sound you just heard was the sound of my Editor’s head exploding at all the ‘uns. He’s not a fan of non-standard English.) Anyway, there are three knives in this series. They cover the wide range of knife types. Prices range from $19 to $35. Let’s look at them.

Each knife in this series has a 9Cr18MoV stainless-steel blade with a blackwash finish, a US flag embellishment, and jimping along the thumb ramp for greater control with fine detail work. 9Cr18MoV is a high carbon, high chromium stainless-steel which is very similar to 440C. They all have textured black G-10 handle scales with blue anodized hardware and liners. The blue gives it a fantastic pop of color, and the grips just feel good in your hand. There’s plenty of traction for a slip resistant grip, even with gloves.

It doesn’t have a pocketclip but it does have a lanyard tube for accessories. It’s 3” closed and weighs about .88 ounces.
