Each year, we impatiently wait to hear what color they’re making the Limited Edition SAK Alox. The wait is finally over. The 2019 Victorinox Swiss Army Limited Edition Alox will be champagne gold! In a market that is currently loving copper, bronze, and always loves all the shades of grey, this is great news. From what we can tell, they’re going to be even more stunning than we could have hoped. (The Editor will note that because we are mature, grown up type knife writers, we’ve refrained from any and all “golden SAK” jokes.)
Victorinox tells us, “Now in its fifth consecutive year, the new [Swiss Army Limited Edition] trio is decked out in on-trend gold. From the smaller Classic to the midsized Cadet through to the large Pioneer, each knife is eye-catching, hardworking and perfectly portable. The champagne-gold-hued Alox scales characterize this year’s collection. Stamped from aluminum, embossed and wrapped in a corrosive-resistant anodized oxide coating, they are as striking as they are durable.”
Finally, if you’re a fan of gorgeous packaging – and we are – Victorinox doesn’t disappoint. We’re big fans of the branded velvety black box with the golden embossed “Limited Edition” text. Overall, it’s just a fantastic presentation that makes an outstanding gift for any knife lover.
