Case Red and Black Fiber WeaveThe Case Red and Black Fiber Weave is a traditional slipjoint series with modern handle materials and chrome vanadium blades. They’re great looking and because they have carbon steel blades, they will only get prettier as they age. Let’s check them out.

As the name suggest, the knives in this series feature red and black fiber woven in an almost canvas pattern. These handles not only look stunning, they’re made from a sturdy material that’s sure to last a lifetime. It’s accented by mirror polished nickel silver bolsters and the pocket end bolster is embellished with the Case logo.

Each knife in this series has chrome vanadium blades. Case tells us, “…this special formula of alloyed steel is the ‘original’ Case blade steel. Case Chrome Vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening.” What all that means is this is close to the carbon steel blades in your Granddad’s knife. It also means these knives will develop a beautiful patina with age. It also means they should also be occasionally looked at to make sure they aren’t rusting.

This series is available in the following five patterns: Trapper, Medium Stockman, Kickstart TrapperLock, Sowbelly Stockman, and Folding Hunter. The KickStart Trapper lock is an assisted opener with a thumb stud that locks in place with a liner lock. All the other patterns are slip joints.
