Case is known for their quality USA-made knives. The Orange Delrin style is a series of knives that are not only quality, but are also rugged too. These knives are great for Case collectors and outdoorsmen alike.
My favorite patterns are the traditional Trapper and Stockman. These knives come with Case’s Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades and hold an edge very well. They aren’t susceptible to the corrosion issues that can easily plague traditional carbon steel blades. The blades are sharp and polished to a mirror finish from the factory, leaving a high-quality look and feel to the knife.
The handle material is Delrin, a durable type of polycarbonate thermoplastic. Delrin is lightweight and resilient to use and abuse. In this series, the Delrin dyed a blaze orange that stands out in any lighting or background. this makes the series ideal for hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts who have concerns about losing their knife in the field. The handles are held together by nickel silver pins and bolsters, which are a nice contrast to the lightweight feel of the handles.
The Case Orange Delrin Trapper is currently $38.99 and the Stockman $44.99. These are a fantastic deal for someone who likes the quality of Case knives, but also wants a style that can hold up to hard use in the field.
