Okay, so the Kizer Theta isn’t exactly a cleaver. It’s actually a very modern version of a sheepsfoot, but with the size of the blade on this thing. It might as well be. As always, the action is superb, and the design is top-notch. As we’ve seen over and over, Kizer just keeps coming with the hits.
This 7.5″ beast is sleek enough to be called sexy and features a 3.25″, S35VN modified sheepsfoot blade. We really love that the flipper disappears into the handle choil. It makes the beefiness of the blade feel a bit safer in the hand and out of reach of wandering fingers. And, while we don’t grasp why anyone would use a thumb hole over a flipper, there’s one built right into the blade. Of course, if you like flippers the ball-bearing system on this Kizer won’t let you down (smooth as silk).
The Kizer Theta features a gray 6AL4V titanium handle a reinforced framelock and a tip-up (non-reversible) pocket clip. The overall look and feel of this knife cannot adequately be described as sleek or sexy. It just looks clean, works well, and feels good in the hand.
This is a top-end Kizer and will cost you about $180, but with the premium materials in it, and the quality of its build. You just can’t go wrong.
