One of the most popular series Rough Ryder ever produced was the Stoneworx series. It featured synthstone inlay handles in vibrant colors and patterns. The new Rough Ryder Stoneworx Malachite and Pearl Series revisits the Stoneworx phenomenon but limits the inlay to malachite and pearl.
Each handle in this series features inlay of both green malachite and white pearl. In two of the patterns, the malachite is counter-balanced by pearl, but in the trapper the pattern appears to almost be striped. There is no trickery with this series. They’re genuine inlay separated by nickel silver spacers. If you look at the spine of the handle, you can easily see just how thick each piece of inlay is. It’s truly impressive.
The blades are 440A with match strike pulls, heavy swedging and half stops, and the handles feature nickel silver Slant R bolsters that you’ll only find on Rough Ryder knives. The Rough Ryder Stoneworx Malachite and Pearl Series truly fall into the category of “gentleman’s knives” that are perfect for dress-up events or Sunday carry.
At present there are only three patterns in this series, including the Trapper, the Serpentine Stockman, and the Moose. While we did not receive confirmation from Rough Ryder, we assume that you’ll see more patterns appear in this series over time. They’re just too gorgeous not to.
