Rough Ryder has released the Black and Blue Series of traditional pocket knives. It’s another outstanding series of traditionals from a company that continues to knock this category out of the park without breaking the bank. With six patterns in the series launch, the bright ocean blue sawcut bone handles with black under liners are sure to please any slip joint lover.
All of the knives in this Rough Ryder series feature 440A stainless steel blades with half stops and match strike pulls. The blades are mirror-polish finish and as always, they’ll bite you right out of the box if you don’t watch out.
The genuine sawcut bone handles are a rich, ocean blue color – like the Mediterranean in the summer really. When Rough Ryder says Black and Blue, they mean blue blue, not something that sort of resembles blue. Nope. These are bright blue with black under liners.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that only Rough Ryder seems to be able to pull this off – enveloping bone with liners like a modern folder, and they do it really well.
This series also features nickel silver ‘Slant R’ bolsters, a Rough Ryder bomb shield, and nickel silver pins. At launch there were six patterns available in the series including Sowbelly Stockman, Lady Leg, Congress, Trapper, Stockman, and Moose patterns. Every knife comes with a magnetic clasp collector’s box as well.
