The first new Benchmade of 2021 drop happens today! With the Benchmade 533BK-2 Mini Bugout, Benchmade gave the Mini the same blackout treatment with CF-Elite handles the regular Bugout got last year and honestly we couldn’t be happier. It looks great, and we know it’s going to be a fantastic, super slicey addition to our pocketknife collection.
The 533BK-2 features a 2.82” CPM S30V drop point blade with a black DLC coating and a blade thickness of 0.09” hardened to 58-60 HRC. If you’ve ever used a Mini Bugout, you know it takes and holds an edge really, really well.
It’s a fully ambidextrous AXIS lock with thumb studs and the action is quite simply addictive. The CF-Elite handles have a good, solid feel in the hand with just about the perfect amount of slip resistance. With a handle thickness of 0.41”, this is a slim knife that practically disappears in your pocket. It’s 3.7” closed and weighs a mere 1.5 ounces. It has a lanyard hole for accessories and a mini, deep carry, ambidextrous tip-up pocket clip.
