There’s a new SMKW exclusive Kershaw Airlock coming soon. It has upgraded steel and OD green handles, and SMKW kept it in the budget friendly realm of about $30.
The original Airlock had a bead blasted 3” 4Cr14 drop point, but with this exclusive Smoky Mountain Knife Works upgraded the steel to stonewashed D2. That gives it more toughness, and a much better edge retention. It’s still a Speed Safe assisted flipper with jimping along the thumb ramp.
They also changed out the black GFN handles for a muted OD green. It gives it a great look that beautifully accents the cutout in the handle. It’s a linerlock with an ambidextrous, tip-up pocket clip and lanyard hole. It’s a pocket friendly ride with a handle thickness of about 0.5”, and it weighs just under 3 ounces.
