The new Case Molasses Sawcut Jigged Bone series has a rustic look with rich, warm brown handles. It’s available in eight different patterns and for an average price of about $60. Case is still one of the most collected knife brands on the market. They’re knives are made in the USA and they’re definitely among one the more-budget friendly lines.
The Molasses Sawcut series features sawcut jigged bone handles that vary from a light tan to dark brown. The sawcut jigging pattern gives these knives an interesting and comfortable feel in the hand. Additionally, the flatness of the jigging lets it easily ride in the pocket. Each knife has nickel silver bolsters, brass pins and liners. We especially like the nickel silver Case shield on this knife.
These slipjoints have Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades with a mirror polish. Our favorite pattern might be the Tony Bose designed Saddlehorn. It gives you a ton of blade to work with combined with a comfortable fit in the hand. This series is available in eight different patterns: Saddlehorn, Pocket Hunter, Backpocket, Trapper, Russlock, Medium Stockman, Slimline Trapper, and Mini Trapper.
