The Spyderco Roc features an unusual cleaver-style blade. While it’s different in appearance from anything else Spyderco makes, it still features the same Spyderco quality we’ve come to expect. This knife is far from a novelty. It’s designed to get the job done.
The VG-10 stainless steel blade features a saber grind that balances high-performance edge geometry with the strength of a thick spine. It’s a blunt-tipped cleaver design that still includes Spyderco’s trademark Round Hole. This ambidextrous opening hole is a fan favorite and essential to Sypderco’s classic design. The spine features a long section of jumping for a comfortable and safe grip.
The Roc’s handle combines full skeletonized stainless steel liners with textured G-10 scales. This open-backed construction reduces weight and simplifies cleaning and maintenance. The stainless steel liners are the foundation for the liner lock mechanism. The handle is ergonomic and features a rounded shape that’s comfortable in hand. Spyderco also included a reversible deep-pocket wire clip attached to the butt end of the handle to offer left or right-side tip-up carry.
