Spyderco already had a hit on their hands with the scaled down Para 3, but now they’ve taken it in an even more exciting direction with the Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight. This version of the popular EDC folder is now even lighter with exceptionally grippy handle scales.
While it keeps the same blade style and measurements, the Para 3 Lightweight weighs in at 30% less than the original G-10 handled version. They’ve updated the handles with fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) scales with a Bi-Directional Texture pattern which provides outstanding slip resistance.
It also rocks a full flat-ground CTS-BD1N steel blade with the usual trademark Round Hole for easy-as-pie one-handed opening. You have the choice of PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge blades as well.
Finally, the Para 3 Lightweight locks open with the easy-to-use Compression lock and it features a reversible deep carry, tip-up pocket clip that making it a completely ambidextrous, lefty friendly daily carry. There is also a generously sized lanyard hole for attachments.
