The Spyderco Emphasis puts a priority on affordability and great design. Spyderco tells us they took “all the proven features and benefits of the best-selling Efficient and ’emphasize[d]’ them.” What that means is they stretched it out, giving you a lot more knife for a cost increase of less than $10.
The Emphasis features a 3.58″ 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade with a satin finish. It’s available with a plain edge or a partially serrated configuration. It’s a Spyderco, so of course it’s perfect for left or right-handed use with the trademark Round Hole. The blade locks with a sturdy linerlock.
This knife has grippy G-10 handle scales over skeletonized stainless liners and backspacer. It also has a tip-up wire pocket clip that can be swapped over for left or right-side carry.
