Spyderco Zome GlowOkay, we confess. We love all things glow-in-the-dark. It’s just fun. The new Spyderco Zome Glow knives are limited editions and less than 1000 of them were made. Will they fly off the shelves as fast as the Shaman Z-Wears? No, but they are in limited supply so make sure you get yours before they’re gone.

The Zome Glow is available in both the Delica 4 and the Endura 4 models. Spyderco tells us that “Zome (pronounced “zoh-may”) is a class of Japanese handicrafts that focuses on dyeing textiles. This ancient art form includes many different methods of creating patterns on cloth using dyes derived from plants, flowers, fruit, and other natural sources and is closely related to many aspects of Japanese history and culture.” Spyderco Zome GlowWith the Zome Glow, they’ve used hand dyed the glow-in-the-dark FRN handles in a paint-spatter or almost camo pattern. The result is seriously stinking cool. After a very brief “charge” under some lights, the pigments used in making the FRN handles glow in the dark, well, glow. The hand painted sections don’t glow and are almost like voids. It’s seriously stinking cool.

Even without the cool factor of the Zome Glow, the Delica 4 and the Endura 4 are both outstanding knives. These fully ambidextrous lockbacks feature flat ground, VG-10 steel with a satin finish that rides on phosphorus bronze washers. They open with a Trademark Round Hole. They both have Spyderco’s four-position pocket clip and a lanyard hole.
