An icon just got an update. The Spyderco Police 4 Lightweight is a step in a new direction for the popular Police model. Spyderco said “this venerable design takes another quantum leap forward by combining the refined features of the fourth-generation Police 4 with the advantages of lightweight, injection-molded handle construction.”
This folder features a full-flat grind on a VG-10 stainless steel blade. It’s fully ambidextrous, of course, with Spyderco’s trademark Round Hole. It locks tight with a back lock. It measures just about 4.5″ so it will fit into several different roles.
The lightweight version has fiberglass-reinforced-nylon handle scales with Spyderco’s Bi-Directional Texturing for an amazing grip, especially if they get wet. Under that are skeletonized stainless liners which not only provide a ton of support, they keep the weight down to just over four ounces. Finally, this knife has a reversible, ambidextrous pocket clip for versatile carry.
