Spyderco’s newest edition to the Para Military family might seem familiar. The Para 3 (as Spyderco calls it) shares many of the features of the immensely popular Para Military 2, but in a scaled down version.

The blade is CPM-S30V steel with a flat grind bevel, a design that provides balance of strength, point utility, and low-friction cutting performance. It features Spyderco’s trademark Round Hole which assists in quick ambidextrous opening and makes it instantly recognizable to anyone who knows and loves Spyderco. At three inches, the Para 3’s blade is just under half-an-inch shorter than the Para Military 2. That’s great if you live in a blade-length regulated state or just want a smaller EDC.

The G10 handles are 4.27” on the Para 3, which, again, is roughly half-an-inch smaller than the 4.81” Para Military 2and, they feature a textured finger choil and thumb ramp for enhanced control during precise cutting tasks. It’s outfitted with Spyderco’s high-strength compression lock, making it easy to close and operate, even when wearing tactical gloves.

The Para 3 is sure to satisfy any fan of the Spyderco Para Military family. It offers all the same Para Military capability in a smaller size, and that makes this knife a great addition to your EDC.
